Win Strengthening Position In Social Casino Gaming Arena
Social casino games have become one of the most popular overall games played by users on mobile or on social networks. While the bigger names like Zynga,Double Down Casino and Playtika are some of the more dominant names, there are plenty of smaller gaming companies that are making their presence felt. In an industry worth over $1.7 billion per year, free-to-play casino games are a hot area for developers. While $1.7 billion is no small change the real incentive behind many of these social casino games is to wait until real money online gambling becomes legal in more parts of the globe and then with a simple switch these games could reach billions.
One such startup to watch is that of the Gibraltar and Tel-Aviv based social gaming company called Win. They have only been around a year but already have serious partners backing them up. They have over $50 million in capital from the real money gambling firm Bwin.party. They just announced the launch of their new Garfield & Friends slot machine game for Facebook and iOS. This follows their popular Slots Craze games that boasts over 1 million installations sine its last March launch. This latest Garfield licence is another addition to Win’s impressive portfolio which includes favorites like Wizard of OZ, Count Dracula, Sherlock Holmes and Casper the Friendly Ghost.
Win was founded in March 2012 by Chief executive Barak Rabinowitz with funding of Bwin.party. This is not the only partnership that Bwin.party has with popular brands as they already offer real money games from the Zynga Brand to UK players. Their expertise and knowledge of the field is exactly what Win needs, Rabinowitz echoed this thinking,” We have the backing of an online gambling company, and a big one at that. Bwin has a lot of expertise in making and marketing games.”
Win boasts over 1 million installs of their Slots Craze of which 400,000 are on Facebook and 600,000 are in iOS. Win also has access to a lot of manpower as Bwin.party also acquired a Ukrainian development house which is at the disposal of Win.While Win have their work cut out for them if they wish to catch up to the big boys, they look like they have all the financial and technical backup to do so. We look forward to following their progress.
