Playtech Release Live Games On Ladbrokes Platforms
Britain’s second biggest bookmaker Ladbrokes has had a difficult time of late. Operating profits fell by 33% in 2013 with their digital division falling 74%. One of the main reasons for their problems was their new partnership with online gaming technology and services provider Playtech. While there were calls for top management to be replaced if things don’t turn around, the good news is that they have just released a mobile version of its casino solutions.
After delays and glitches in the implementation, Ladbrokes should be able to turn things around in time for the upcoming Soccer World Cup. While Ladbrokes had gone live in January with Playtech’s live casino games for desktop, the mobile version will feature version for iOS, Android and HTML5.
Playtech’s Head of Games, Aviv Nankin was delighted with the mobile launch,” We are very excited to launch our live offering with Ladbrokes. With its branded clickable private area live stream and full support for all mobile devices, I am certain Ladbrokes will see the positive results of this launch in no time. Our product definitely represents the next generation of live games and we are excited to launch this new advanced live casino solution with one of the leading brands in our industry.”
Players will now have the option of playing in an exclusively “Live” branded area which Playtech claim is the biggest they have ever created. Another cool feature will be the player’s ability to enjoy multi-game technology that enables punters to play up to three games simultaneously on a single window. There is even a unique lobby stream on the mobile version which with the tap of a button players are able to join.
It remains to be seen if Ladbrokes succeed to close the growing gap between themselves and William Hill. The new mobile launch of Playtech’s live casino solution is seen as an essential part of their growth potential as mobile continues to rule the online gambling market.
