Playtech Poaches Sun Bingo Deal From Gamesys
Online gambling giant Playtech have had a disappointing time of late with their much talked about acquisition Plus500 falling through due to concerns expressed by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. However with so much spare cash floating around they apparently have been working in the background to expand their Virtue Fusion bingo network.
The online gambling technology providers headed by controversial Israeli billionaire Tedi Sagi have managed to poach one on the largest and most popular online bingo services in the UK. They announced that they have signed a five year deal with Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo who fall under the UK subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. This is quite a coup as Playtech succeeded in poaching the Sun’s online bingo platform from online gambling firm Gamesys.
In terms of the deal Playtech will provide both sites with their Virtue Fusion bingo network by August 2016 and will add new titles for both mobile and desktop products. CEO of Gamesys Lee Fenton said that the split was amicable but this aggressive move by Playtech once again shows what their size and financial resources are capable of doing.
CEO of Playtech Mor Weizer said,” The Playtech-powered Sun Bingo will use cutting-edge technology to offer best-performing and highly innovative bingo and side games, with fantastic promotions and prizes and the industry’s largest jackpots. This is a fantastic partnership that is aligned with our ongoing strategy of working with the best operators and media brands in regulated markets.”
