Illusive Lion Share’s Jackpot Claimed After 20 Years
In February we reported on one of the most popular slot machines in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The reason that people were queuing to have a spin was due to the fact that the progressive jackpot on the “Lion’s Share” slot had not been won in over 20 years. This led to the jackpot reaching over $2.4 million.
According to Nevada law all slot machines are required by law to return over 75 percent of the money they take in and until this happens it is illegal for the casino to remove the slot from the casino floor.
Well finally after 20 years a New Hampshire couple won the $2.4 million progressive jackpot last Friday. The couple Walter and Linda Misco of Chester New Hampshire inserted a $100 and after only five minutes won the illusive jackpot on the most popular slot machine in the casino.
Walter Misco commented on their win at a press conference,” I had seen a story about the machine online and my wife and I walked by the machine when we arrived. “She said, ‘You have to play this machine and win on this machine.’ So I was just following orders from the boss.”
Besides their jackpot win casino officials are thinking about letting the retired couple take the slots machine back to New Hampshire.
