Golden Nugget Records Record Online Gambling Revenues In New Jersey
Lots of positive things happening in the state of New Jersey. Besides the online gambling market steadily growing, there is much optimism that they will enjoy a favorable outcome to their lengthy court battle to get sports betting legalized in the Garden State which currently sits at the Supreme Court.
The latest figure for online gambling revenues in the Garden State were released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Entertainment on Wednesday and once again were in excess of $20m. January saw 1 16.7% increase from the same period last year to reach $22m which is a new record.
Online poker revenues continue to decrease as the size of the pool is simply not large enough to sustain growth. Revenues were down 16.6% year on year to $1.95m and show no signs of growing in the near future.
As per usual the top performing casino was the Golden Nugget which saw record revenues of $7.3m which is a precedent for any casino as they passed the $7m mark. Second place was the Borgata casino with $4.15m with Resorts Digital Gaming taking third place with $3.9m. Caesars Interactive came in fourth place with $3.35m followed by Tropicana with $3.27m.
