DraftKings Signs Sports Betting Deal with Kambi Group
Daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has made another move to become a major player in the US sports betting Market following their deal with Resorts Atlantic City in New Jersey that was announced earlier this month. DraftKings have announced they will be entering into a sportsbook partnership with Kambi who will supply various sports betting technology and services to DraftKings.
CEO of Kambi Kristian Nylen commented on the new partnership and said, “I am delighted Kambi has been selected to partner DraftKings as it enters the sports betting market. The Kambi technology is unique in that it empowers operators to innovate and create differentiated sports betting experiences, providing the flexibility which will be crucial in the developing US market.”
It is worth noting that Kambi was part of the Kindred group and it was rumored to have been interested in acquiring DraftKings much like Paddy Power Betfair did with FanDuel. For the moment though it seems that DraftKings are attempting to raise money on their own as we reported. This latest partnership between DraftKings and Kambi follows a similar deal that Kambi closed with Rush Street Interactive. It is also wort noting that the deal will also apply in all other states that DraftKings intends to offer legal sports betting.
