DraftKings Signs Marketing Deal With CFL
In the last six months good news coming out of the DFS sector has been hard to come by. Both DraftKings and FanDuel have had their hands full with legal battles which were threatening to bring down their businesses. Both companies shave reportedly lost up to half of their value in the last year and it seems a real possibility that the two may emerge to consolidate resources.
In a rare move DraftKings have gone back to their bread and butter which is forming new partnerships. They announced an advertising and promotion al deal with the Canadian Football League (CFL).
In terms of the agreement DraftKings will offer CFL contests to coincide with the start of the 59th CFL season starting on Thursday 23. DFS fans will have the option of playing contests with entry fees ranging from 25c to $300 as awe as a free-to-play CFL DFS contests that will be available both on mobile and online channels.
Chief International Office for DraftKings Jeffrey Hass explained the new partnership,” Canada continues to be a key and growing market for DraftKings, and our partnership with the CFL is another way for us to attract passionate Canadian sports fans. The CFL is a dynamic league that works perfectly for DFS players of all skill levels. Sports fans are going to love the challenge of setting their weekly CFL roster and taking a shot at winning some incredible prizes.”
