Delaware Online Gaming Revenues Up 54% Year-on-Year In August
The state of Delaware is only one of three states where online gambling in the US is legal. It is therefore still important to check in once in a while as to its progress despite the fact that it generates very low volumes.
The good news is that overall online gaming revenue for the state was up 54% in August form the same period last year despite a decline in online poker revenues. Revenues for August were $244.387 which is a 54% increase year-on-year but is still off the $304,000 and $281,000 generated in June and July.
Main source of income is from slots which generated $158,847. Poker revenues fell to a disappointing $29,155 which is a 7% drop from August 2015. This low figures are amplified by the fact that there is deal in place to share the online poker liquidity of both Delaware and Nevada since March 2015. It is also worth remembering the state of Delaware’s population is only 945,000 making it the 45th lowest of all states. There are three state racinos which make up the online gaming market, Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington raceway.
