Caesars Launches Skill-Based in Nevada With Gamblit Gaming Partnership
Our team has covered the issue of casinos and old style gambling companies’ need to ensure they diversify their ageing player base. Anyone entering a casino on the Vegas Strip will notice that the average player is closer to middle aged and not getting younger.
The term “millennial” is the buzz word in the casino world as the industry is realizing that if they do not market their games to this sector, their growth will hampered and in a few decades their current ageing audience will no longer have disposable income.
It is here where skill based gaming companies like Gamblit Gaming and GamesCo come into play. These startups are promising casino owners that implementing less traditional games and putting a focus on skill based games is the answer to capturing the attention of the younger generation. In the U.S. particularly slot machines make up a large percentage of gaming revenues and to put in simply the younger generation is not too and excited by playing a game that involves pressing a button and waiting for the reels to spin. The element of skill and user engagement is what the younger crowd is used to on their mobile devices.
Caesars Entertainment is one of the first major casino chains to adapt these skill based games and have joined forces with Gamblit Gaming. They debuted the first skill-based gaming service at the Planet Hollywood Casino which will serve as trial for other casinos. Initially there will be three tables and two games on offer for players. The games on offer will include Gamblit Poker that tests the skill and speed of the player and allows them to win up to 240 times their bet and Cannonbeard’s Treasure which is similar to blackjack and again challenges the player.
Gamblit intends expanding their rollout to other properties of Caesars in the state of Nevada pending regulatory approval.
CEO of Caesars Entertainment Mark Frissora commented on the partnership and said,” Our partnership with Gamblit brings a unique experience to our casino floors and is an important step towards modernizing our customers’ gaming experience. We’re making tremendous progress in our efforts to reach a new generation of gamers who seek integrated skill-based gaming and Caesars is proud to be the first in Las Vegas to provide this innovative experience to our customers.”
